An industrial visit was arranged for PGDM students on 24th September 2011 in Rochi Engineers Pvt Ltd. As the visit was arranged for Semester I students, it gave them a good overview of an organization’s working; Operations, Marketing and Finance functions.

At first the students were shown the entire product range; the manufacturing of exhaust systems and silencers followed by a briefing on few heavy machinery like CNC Plasma, Automated Lathe, Power Press, and Shearing Machine etc.

Post the plant visit the students were taken to a conference hall and Mr. Pradeep Kharkar, MD for Rochi Engineers took a detailed session with the students. It not only helped them to know, what are the working techniques of an industry but also gave a glimpse of what all problems an industry can face, how to tackle the immediate problems, the importance of taking in consideration the queries and complaints of the customer, how essential is it to get a certification for maintaining quality, etc.

Students were able to relate much better as the theoretical concepts taught were being implemented in an industry to make it work efficiently and effectively.
