Some management trainees of Indira Global Business School (IGBS), Parandwadi used to visit the small roadside hotel near the campus. There is a municipal school opposite this hotel. The students of this school used to come to the hotel many times and ask for water as there is no water facility in their school. The hotel owners and waiters used to scold them and did not give them water most of the time.

Looking at their plight, IGBS students felt like providing a helping hand to the students by providing water facility. There were many options like setting up a small water tank in their school or getting water from our college and putting those small cans in the school everyday, but due to hygienic reasons, they finally decided of donating good quality water bottles to the students which can keep the water cool for sometime.

Contributions came from among students of our college and the staff members and bought 90 bottles for the students in that school.

On 16^th December, 2010, a small function was held in the school with all the students and staff members of the school, in which good quality water bottles were donated to the students. They were also given small pencil boxes as an addition.

The Principal, teachers and the students of the school were very enthusiastic about the function. The students gave some good performances like singing, dancing and story telling. In all the management trainees of IGBS and the school students had a very good and cherishing experience. The happy and smiling faces of the school students said a lot.

The IGBS MT’s learnt a very valuable lesson that, giving something back to the society is more satisfying than keeping it all to oneself. After all, sharing is caring.
